We were here on a school trip and left the youth hostel with mixed feelings. What was really positive: - the reception was manned for a long time and also helpful with all problems - the leisure activities of the youth hostel were quite large and partly even free (but unfortunately partly did not take place without explanation) - the rooms were large and well furnished - the location of the youth hostel is nice and quiet, but still close to the next bus stop - the grounds of the hostel are really huge and diverse - the breakfast and evening buffets are really varied and also surprisingly delicious for a youth hostel What was really negative: - the street in front of the youth hostel is narrow, steep and full of construction sites. A warning would have saved our bus driver a lot of stress! - the building is extremely noisy (really very noisy!) and the youth hostel does not take its own night's sleep very seriously. We had little sleep. - The mattresses were more like sports mats and therefore quite uncomfortable. - As already indicated above, some leisure activities were canceled without warning, as our students were very disappointed - the food selection for people with more special needs than vegetarians was rather poor or nonexistent - the building is anything but barrier-free. Stairs everywhere. What the wheelchair-accessible rooms are good for, I did not understand. All in all, one has to say: the food and service were good, the journey difficult, the quality of sleep was rather modest due to the beds and the constant nocturnal noise. If you can take it, there is a lot on offer here, but if you want to sleep well, you should look for something else.
