What are amniotes

Amniotes[To edit]
The first permanent land-dwelling vertebrates were the Amniotes. Their eggs had internal membranes that allowed the growing embryo to breathe while still retaining moisture.

A shell-enclosed, water-storing egg that enables reptiles, birds and egg-laying mammals to complete their entire development cycle on land.

The resulting group of umbilical animals or Amniotes also include the dinosaurs, which ruled the earth for several million years. At the same time, mammals also came into being. They gave birth to their young alive and did not lay eggs.

Vertebrates are almost always sexually separated. Depending on the absence or presence of embryonic envelopes, anamnians (lower vertebrates; with round mouths, fish and amphibians) and ~ (higher vertebrates; with reptiles, birds and mammals) differentiated.

During embryonic development, the ~ three generations of kidneys: anterior kidney (Pronephros), urnal kidney (Mesonephros) and posterior kidney (Metanephros). The anterior kidney does not yet take on any function in the embryo. This task is only started by the urn kidney and taken over by the post-kidney.

The embryonic envelope that surrounds the cavity filled with amniotic fluid (see text above) is called amnion in Latin; the associated animals ~. These include the modern reptiles, birds and mammals. So hylonomus or a close relative is also an ancestor of humans.
