Interview with Michael Landsberg, CEO Landsberg First Class Aesthetic

Landsberg First Class Aesthetic has been a fixture in the aesthetic industry for many years and combines innovative, scientifically sound product quality with a special focus on exceptional customer service. In the second part of our interview, we spoke to company boss Michael Landsberg about the company's special philosophy and new products in the portfolio.

Mr. Landsberg, to start with, can you describe the special approach of your company briefly and concisely?

We have been working closely with Douglas C. Canfield personally for over 10 years, who developed a special Visia Deluxe Edition especially for Landsberg. For the doctors as our customers, this has the inestimable advantage that they can authentically analyze and present the respective treatment success of Skinbetter Science in the system with each recording.

Since you already mention this example: Canfield is generally known in the market for continuously improving its technologies - especially in the software area. What is so special about the variant specially developed for Landsberg?

M. Landsberg:

Canfield is the global market leader in medical 2D and 3D imaging and has supported more than 2,000 clinical studies and cooperates with thousands of study centers around the world. At Canfield, the important market position and the genuine strengths of Landsberg have been recognized and therefore a special edition Visia Deluxe has been brought out especially for us. The special thing is that all of Landsberg's marketing organs are integrated into Visia. We already got to know you in the first part of our interview as a committed advocate of the “4-pillar principle” that you designed yourself. There is something solid and reliable about pillars, but possibly also something static. Are there regular “renovations” on the “4 pillars”?

Only recently, two innovative, highly effective active ingredients for the JetPeel, produced in accordance with the EG-KVO, came onto the market. This form of therapy, unique in the world, is painless and non-invasive and can be used in these dermatological areas in addition to other cosmetic and aesthetic treatment fields. On the one hand “JetPeel Sweatless” for the treatment of hyperhidrosis; Here, in a study by the University of Pavia, sweat production was reduced by 15% in 15 test persons. On the other hand, “JetPeel Acne”, which regulates sebum production, eliminates bacterial and mycotic pathogens and has a healing effect on the skin. With this system, as a doctor in aesthetics, you not only have a competent consultant at your side, but also the best salesperson, because all your services and products can be integrated into the objective, neutral assessment of the skin analysis. The software contains a comprehensive database for evaluating the results of your customers and each skin analysis result is compared to a comparison group of 100 people of the same age and skin type. Expert advice is the basis of every cosmetic or medical treatment and the Visia system helps you to show your customers which treatment steps are necessary to achieve the desired result.

A lot of basic research was carried out here by means of scientific assessment and analysis of treatment results and numerous international approval studies. The precise bookkeeping of treatment progress is implemented through top technology for Canon camera systems as well as through the development of unique lighting components for realistic representations of the 8 analysis features.

The individual pictures taken with the 24-megapixel camera from 3 different positions impress with the extremely high resolution of each and every small detail. In this way, deficits can be made visible and treatment parameters can be determined. And of course every single treatment progress can be visualized in a simple and understandable way, which has an extremely positive effect on patient satisfaction.

The Visia 8.2 software is brand new and just released by Canfield. This is really exciting, especially for dermatologists! It can visually represent an injection with e.g. hyaluronic acid on the patient picture before the dermatologist even injects the active ingredient. Individual areas can be highlighted and simulated with simple clicks on the PC, such as the forehead or cheek area. This is a new milestone which once again sets Visia - and thus Landsberg - apart from the competition.

Are there any news from Skinbetter that could be of interest to our readers?

M. Landsberg:

Absolutely! But let me go a little further here and first explain the clinical-medical background of the brand in a little more detail. Skinbetter Science's clinical skin care products come from Restylane and Dysport pioneer Jonah Shacknai.

Shacknai comes from medical science and has patented many groundbreaking formulas.
