Is Broly 2019 stronger than OG Broly

Dragon Ball Super: Broly - This is the biggest difference to the original Broly

In the most recent Dragon Ball movie, our heroes once again faced the legendary Super Saiyan Broly, who is very different from his original Dragon Ball Z.

The now 20th Dragon Ball film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, not only offered everything the fan heart desires, but was also able to work with various Easter eggs wait up. Apart from that, the Dragon Ball Super Broly differs from the Dragon Ball Z original in one point, as reported by Comic Book.

That's the difference between the new and old Broly in Dragon Ball

More interviews were recently published in which those in charge of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, including animation supervisor Naohiro Shintani, talked about the work on the film. So Shintani didn't just tell that there was one thing that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama didabsolutely wanted to avoid, but also how the new one differs from the old one:

Old Broly was nothing more than a dangerous guy. But this time there are scenes that make him human, like the incident with Bah, and he establishes a connection with Cheelai and Lemo. [...] This Broly is a different character from his previous incarnation and [I] hope that he will become popular himself.

Dragon Ball fans love the new Broly

With the original Broly it was back then born a true fan favorite, but otherwise he didn't have too much to offer as a character. Shintani's most recently expressed hope already seems to be coming true, because based on the previous fan reactions, the Dragon Ball community loves the new movie. The new Broly in particular receives a lot of praise, precisely because it is much more approachable and personable than its DBZ predecessor.
