Preview pages on a worksheet before printing

You can avoid unexpected results and waste of paper by previewing a worksheet before printing.

If you select one or more sheets, then click File> Print click,shows a preview of how the data will appear in the printout.

  1. Select the worksheets that you want to preview.

  2. click You onFile and then click To press, to display the Preview window and print options.

    Keyboard shortcut You can also Press CTRL + F2.

Hints:

  • Unless you are using a color printer, the preview is displayed in black and white even if there is a color on the sheet.

  • Next page and Previous page are only available when you select more than one sheet or when a sheet contains more than one page of data. To view multiple worksheets, click below Settings on Entire workbook.

Other useful information

  • To preview the next and previous pages, click the Next Page and Previous Page arrows at the bottom of the Print Preview window, or type the page number.

  • If you exit the page view and return to your workbook, click in the top left of the Print Preview window any arrow.

  • To view margins, click the button in the lower right corner of the Print Preview window Margins Show.

  • If you want to change the margins, drag them to the height and width you prefer. You can also change the column width by dragging the handles at the top or bottom of the preview page. For more information about margins, see Set margins before printing a worksheet.

Tip: If you want to make changes to the page setup, such as: For example, to change the page orientation and size, select the appropriate options under File > Print> Settings.

How to mark one or more sheets

A single worksheet

Click the sheet tab.

If you don't see the tab, click the scroll buttons to display the tab, and then click on it.


Two or more adjacent worksheets

Click the tab for the first sheet. Then hold the SHIFT and click the tab for the last sheet to be selected.

Two or more non-contiguous worksheets

Click the tab for the first sheet. Then hold Ctrl pressed, while clicking the tabs of the other sheets to be marked.

All worksheets in one workbook

Right-click a sheet tab, and then click Select all sheets.

Tip: If you select multiple sheets, the text [Group] appears in the title bar at the top of the sheet. To deselect multiple sheets in a workbook, click an unselected worksheet. If no unselected worksheet is visible, right-click a selected sheet's tab and click Ungroup.

    Tip: If several worksheets are selected, the addition [Group] displayed. Click any unselected sheet in a workbook to deselect multiple worksheets. If no unselected worksheet is visible, right-click a selected sheet's tab and click on the shortcut menu Ungroup.

  2. click on the Microsoft Office button , click the arrow next to To press, and then click Side view.

  3. To preview the next and previous pages, on the Preview tab, in the Preview group, click Next page and Previous page.

    Note:Next page and Previous page are only available if you have selected more than one worksheet or if a worksheet contains more than one data sheet.

  4. To display margins, activate the Print Preview tab in the Preview group the Show margins check box.

    This will remove the margins in the Side view displayed. If you want to change the margins, you can drag them to the height and width you want. You can also change the column width by dragging the handles at the top of the preview page.

    Tip: To make changes to the page setup, on the Print Preview tab, in the Print group, click Page Setup , and then select Page Setup on the tabs in the dialog box Page,Margins, Header / footeror sheet the following options.

  1. Click the sheet or choose what to preview.

  2. click on file > To press > To press.

  3. Choose whether to print your selection or to print the entire sheet.

  4. click on To press.

  5. If you like what is shown, click in Print in the upper left corner, or close the previewed browser window to go back and make changes before printing.
