Sightseeing in Lyon

The "Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica" was built in 1870 by the Lyons community as a sign of the triumph of Christian values ​​over socialists. Its design is characterized by a Romanesque as well as a Byzantine architecture with fine mosaics, stained glass and a magnificent crypt of St. Joseph. Saint-Exupéry International Airport is located 20 km (12 miles) east of Lyon and serves as the base for domestic and international flights.

Lyon is a TGV station and has two major train stations: “Lyon Part-Dieu” and “Lyon Perrache”. The city is served by Eurolines buses; the terminal is located at the Perrache train station. Perrache is also the center for trams, local and regional buses, underground line A, the Vélo'v bike service and taxis.
